Scope

The Board of Trustees of Taxila Institute of Youth Leadership & Development, by and through its

academic and administrative units and programs, owns, controls, operates and/or maintains Web sites under a number of domains (collectively, “Hexagon Social Enterprise Co.,Ltd.”). This Web Privacy Notice applies to all domains within Hexagon Company.

 

Purpose

As part of its commitment to maintain the privacy of users of Taxila Web sites, Taxila Institute has

developed this privacy notice. The notice has two purposes:

1. To inform users about specific privacy guidelines

2. To notify users about the terms and conditions governing use of the Institute Websites.

 

Permission to Use Materials

In consideration for your agreement to the terms and conditions contained here, Taxila grants

you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Sites. User may download material from the Sites only for User's own personal, non-commercial use. User may not otherwise copy, reproduce, retransmit, distribute, publish, commercially exploit or otherwise transfer any material. The burden of determining that use of any information, software or any other content on the Site is permissible rests with User.

 

Limitation of Use

You may use Sites for legal purposes only. Although Taxila does not monitor the content of the

Sites, Taxila has the right to remove material from the Sites, block access, or take other action with respect to the Material in its sole discretion.

 

Personal Identification Information

Taxila may collect personal identification information from users in a variety of ways, including,

but not limited to, when users visit our site, register on the site, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number. Users may, however, visit our site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

 

Non-Personal Identification Information

Taxila may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact

with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

 

 

Rule on Sharing of Information

Taxila Institute uses the Institute Web for business purposes and is committed to ensuring the

privacy of personal information. Use of the Institute Web is subject to all applicable laws, as well as general Institute policies. It is the Institute’s usual practice not to share any personal information with those outside the Institute. However, when circumstances arise for the need to share information gathered from its Institute Web servers, the Institute may share as:

  • authorized by law,

  • permitted under Institute policies,

  • authorized by an approved Institute contract,

  • clearly stated at a Institute Web site that such information will be shared and the user indicates consent by providing the information,

  • consent is otherwise given,

  • available, certain student and employee demographic information for Taxila Spotlight Alumni and Professionals, applicant students’ high schools and other educational institutions with questions about students who have been admitted or earned a certificate of the Institute, or

  • authorized for good cause by the Principal or Board of Directors of Taxila Institute.

 

Faculty

Taxila Institute has the utmost respect for the academic integrity and freedom of thought and

expressions that is the major principle of Taxila’s code of conduct. When faculty is provided Taxila’s web-email or computer account for personal and academic activities, the Institute does not generally monitor or access the contents of a faculty's email, network logs, or computer account, it reserves the right to do so. However, access to and disclosure of a faculty's email messages, network logs, or the contents of his or her computer account are authorized only by agreement of the Principal or the Board of Directors of Taxila Institute.

 

Staff

Taxila Institute has the utmost respect for the fair working environment and freedom of thought

and expressions that is the major principle of Taxila’s code of conduct. When staff is provided Taxila’s web-email or computer account for personal and academic activities, the Institute does not generally monitor or access the contents of a faculty's email, network logs, or computer account, it reserves the right to do so. However, access to and disclosure of a faculty's email messages, network logs, or the contents of his or her computer account are authorized only by agreement of the Principal or the Board of Directors of Taxila Institute.

 

Disclaimer of Liability

Neither the Taxila Institute, nor any of its units, programs, employees, agents or individual

trustees, shall be held liable for any improper or incorrect use of the information described and/or contained in the Institute Web and assumes no responsibility for anyone’s use of the information. In no event shall the Institute Web, the Institute or its units, programs, employees, agents or individual trustees be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, procurement or substitute goods or services; loss of use, data, or profits; or business interruption).

 

Disclaimer of Warranties and Accuracy of Data

Although the data found using the Institute’s access systems have been produced and processed

from sources believed to be reliable, no warranty, express or implied, is made regarding accuracy, adequacy, completeness, legality, reliability or usefulness of any information.
