"Present Around the World" Competition​

PATW is a global competition for Young Professionals and Students within engineering and

technology disciplines to develop and showcase their presentation skills. It is annually organized by The IET, one of the world largest engineering institutions.

 

The main objective of PATW is to help young professionals and students to enhance their

knowledge, develop their skills, increase their profiles, open doors for their career.

 

What will you be doing?

 

You will be presenting a 10-minutes presentation about any topic or project related to

engineering and technology in both lower/upper Myanmar round and the national final. 

 

Location and Date:

 

- Upper Myanmar Semi-Final will be on 12 January 2018 at Mandalay Technological University

- Lower Myanmar Semi-Final will be on 10 January 2018 at Yangon Technological University

 

- National Final will be on 28 February 2018 at Yangon Technological University

 

Finalist:

 

- 3 semi-finalists from Upper Myanmar Round will be invited to the national final round.

- 4 semi-finalists from Lower Myanmar Round will be invited to the national final round.

 

What will be covered:

 

Semi-Finalists

 

At both semi-final rounds, each winner will be awarded a cash prize of GBP 100 and a certificate. 

Each first runner-up will also be awarded GBP 50 and a certificate. 

 

For semi-final rounds, all contestants will be responsible for their own local travel,

accommodation, and other expenses to join a semi-final in Yangon or Mandalay.

 

Finalists

 

For finalists selected from upper Myanmar semi-final round, all travel, accommodation, and

expenses to join national final round will be fully covered by the organizing committee. The award package includes the followings;

an IET certificate for winning the upper Myanmar round

- round-trip express coach ticket to and from home city

- all ground transportation costs associated with the final competition

- one night accommodation in Yangon (to be shared with one contestant of the same sex)

- lunch after the final competition

- a stipend of $15 SGD on the final competition day

 

For finalists selected from upper Myanmar semi-final round, all travel, accommodation, and

expenses to join national final round will be fully covered by the organizing committee. The award package includes the followings;

an IET certificate for winning the upper Myanmar round

- round-trip express coach ticket to and from home city

- all ground transportation costs associated with the final competition

- one night accommodation in Yangon (to be shared with one contestant of the same sex)

- lunch after the final competition

- a stipend of $15 SGD on the final competition day

 

 

Winner

 

The winner and/or the first runner-up of the national final will be awarded the followings;

1. Winner

- a cash prize of GBP 300 (~ 600,000 MMK)

- an IET certificate for winning the national final round

- a place in the regional final in Singapore

- round-trip airfare to and from Singapore

- round-trip express coach ticket to and from home city to airport (if needed)

- all ground transportation in Singapore

- one-night accommodation in Yangon

- all meals in Singapore

 

2. First runner-up

- a cash prize of GBP 200 (~ 400,000 MMK)

- an IET certificate for winning the national final round as first runner-up

 

 

What will not be covered:

 

- Your personal expenses in Yangon or Singapore

- Your extra meals & snacks
